Sandking
Is there an option to select all objects of given type? For example walls? I got walls class turned on and I would like to select everything that isn't wall on it. At first sight there are only walls but when I select all of them it seems that there is something more because in object info panel it shows "x objects" not "x walls". Quote Link to comment
islandmon
You can utilize the power of Vectorscript to create various selection scripts. VW>Organize>Scripts>Custom Selection: {DSelectAll; SelectObj(INOBJECT & (T=WALL));} Quote Link to comment
G_Hannigan
There's a Plugin at the "old" Vector Depot (Pick and Select Class) that will do what you describe: http://www.vectordepot.com/Plugins1.shtml Pick and Select Class This tool allows you to select all entities of a given class by picking one entity of that class. Contributor: John Greaney It's free, use Workspace Editor to add it to VW. Quote Link to comment
Guest
Go to Tools>Custom Selection Click Criteria Select "Type" "Is" "Wall" If you want to narrow down to a specific layer, click on More Options and then select "layer" "is" "[name of layer]" This will select the walls either in the drawing, or on the specified layer. If you want to select everything EXCEPT the walls, use Invert Selection under the Edit menu to deselect the walls AND select everything else. Quote Link to comment
bc
Katie, thanks for the suggestion. Problem is, I can't find Invert Selection in my edit menu or Workspace Editor. Is this new in 12.5? Quote Link to comment
Guest
Yes, it's new to 12.5. If you don't see it (right below Edit>Select All), then use the workspace editor to add it to the workspace. Quote Link to comment
