J. Miller
I made a few "red" lighting symbols that carry their label legend with them. It seems that if you try to change a symbol in a drawing with a "red symbol" using the "Replace Instrument" tool, all of the information is not changed / updated. Is this a quirk, or am I doing something wrong. Thanks in Advance Jeff Miller BSL Productions Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted November 1, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 1, 2006 Don't use the red symbols to replace the existing symbols, nothing good will happen. The data record is attached to the original (black) symbol, not to the red plug-in object symbol. What you now have is a plug-in inside of a plug-in, and the behavior of the object is going to be very unpredictable. Quote Link to comment
J. Miller
thanks for the info kevin It's okay to replace a "black symbol" with a "red" one though isn't it? Jeff Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted November 2, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 2, 2006 Replacing a "black" sumbol with a "red" symbol should be fine. It's plug-in inside of a plug-in that may cause problems. Quote Link to comment
