lucylou
does anyone understand how (and why!) glazing in windows works - are you able to 'see through' the glazing in a viewport with hidden line rendering? any help would be much appreciated. ps im on pc Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Lucy, there are various options available for glazing. Click on the SETTINGS button, then go the VIEW tab. Down at the bottom is the GLAZING pulldown. When set to "clear" the window will be see-thru in OpenGL & in Renderworks Modes, but become solid in Hidden Line Mode. I'm not sure why... but there you have it. A slightly more advanced approach (which I use all the time): Use the "by class" glazing setting. This allows for lots of control both in rendered views and viewports (using class overrides). Obviously this takes more time in the initial setup, but if you want to end up using 3d models to produce 2d working drawings it is (for me at least) worth it. HTH's Quote Link to comment
