Scroll Wheel not working in Resource Browser

Hi All,

I am running VW12 on my Windows Laptop. I have 'Mouse Wheel Zooms' enabled. When I use my Synaptics Touch Pad, the virtual scrolling area of the track pad doesn't zoom - it just scrolls up and down. This is ok with me, however, since that might make for some accidental zooming. With the touchpad virtual scrolling, scrolling through folders/resources in the resource browser works fine.

However, whenever I connect and use a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse (most of the time), the scroll wheel does zoom correctly, but it cannot scroll through the resource browser at all. I suppose if I had to pick one, I am glad it zooms, but it really slows me down to have to use the on-screen scrollbar to move around in the resource browser.

Any idea? Can this be fixed?

Hey Jake,

I submitted a bug about scrolling in the RB.

With the RB open can you scroll within the window?

For example: I have tons of symbols, and I can scroll within the symbol sub folder, but I can not scroll within the dropdown menus.

Make sure you have clicked in the white space where the resources are located in order to scroll using the wheel.

With Mac OS X all you need to do is mouse over it.

Yeah - this is exactly it. I can scroll the currently-broswed resources with the wheel, but I cannot scroll through the drop-down menu. being a lighting designer, like yourself, i too have lots and lots of symbols in lots and lots of folders. I often need to jump between symbol folders and between files. That is when the wheel doesnt work for me.

Yeah - it only requires a mouse-over on PC as well. I can scroll the current symbols fine, but just not the drop-down menu.

So, does anyone know if NNA has addressed this bug?
