Library Error 8, DWG not supported

Hiya getting library error 8- says DWG version is not supported when trying to open a DWG file which is quite urgent. Any ideas what might be wrong, anything I can do?

ops sorry forgot to say im using version 10 vectorworks.

If it's urgent send it to me and I'll import it into VW 12 and export it to 10. I'll pm you my email address.

VW 10 will open AutoCAD 2003 and earlier, quite possibly AC 2004 also.

Anything newer will not import into VW.

The best thing to do is to ask the AutoCAD user to save the file to a version compatible with your version of VW to alleviate the problem in the future.
