D He
Hi I am a rookie of student VW version. I create a viewpoint with foreground and background in hidden line style. But it will show the surface line of path and site. Is there any way I could set its render style like the SketchUp style, which only shows the edge of the object, not show the 3D triangle in the viewport? Thank you Edited May 28 by D He Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
set your render mode for the viewport to Shaded or Artistic Renderworks, then adjust the settings for the render mode to get your desired result. Here's Hidden Vs Shaded Vs Artistic In case you don't know... Don't forget to update your viewport each time you make a change so it re-renders the window. That's what those red candy cane stripes around the viewport are telling you. Edited May 29 by Jeff Prince 2 Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
For Hidden Line you'll probably want to adjust the Smoothing Angle as well, which defaults to 1° I believe, but that's unusably low since it shows all facets. To adjust it for a viewport, click on Background Render Settings (Or Foreground Render Settings, whichever is your Hidden Line), then set the Smoothing Angle higher. I start with 30° as a default then go from there. It sounds like you perhaps have both foreground and background set to Hidden Line. You don't need both. Just set the Foreground Render to None and work with Background Render only. (Or, set background to Shaded and set foreground to Hidden Line). 3 Quote Link to comment
