Title Block Layout Help

gangotti

Question

I am trying to get my title blocks set up and I really like the format I had in Autocad, I am however, having trouble getting it to line up in the title block layout there seems to be a border that is preventing me from centering the title block objects on the page.  Is this border removable so I can center my title block on the page or do I need to scale down my title block (not ideal) to make it fit within the border in Vectorworks?  No matter how I position the objects in the title block layout window, they always move when I return to the sheet layer.

I figured out it was the margins that were causing the issue.

Margins will get you part of the way there.  You might want to look into:

  • how you have your geometry placed.  It's always a good idea to place Loci in the opposite corners of the page so your title block doesn't move around on you if you change sheet sizes.
  • "Sheet Size" fit/vs explicitly selecting a sheet size
  • "sheet fit mode"
  • wether or not you want VWX to make a border for your title block or not.
