VWX 2013 - slow graphics and crashing - memory leak

Question

Hi there

The VWX application appears to have a 'memory leak' as it builds up its memory use during a session form 4GB to as much as 19GB (as indicated on the Mac activity Monitor).  This morning it started crashing without warning, whereas before it would get exceedingly slow. using the Mac.

Any suggestions please?

If you have a memory intensive object, or a few of them, (such as an imported pdf object rendered in a viewport, etc.) as you edit them the number of undo steps you are saving can increase memory usage quickly. But this should plateau as you get to the max step saved and only the system swapping memory blocks to disk should slow it after that. Saving and reverting to saved may help but you do lose the undo steps in the process. If that doesn't produce a reduction then is not this specific memory hog.

Without context the issue(s) you are experiencing cannot really be diagnosed.

Hi LarryO and rDesign

Sorry, typo: VWX 2023 not 2013 !

iMac 27inch 2019 ; 3.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9; 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

Mac OS Sonoma 14.3.1

I have reinstalled VWX 2023 and am checking how that is going.

I do have a design file with numerous viewports, maybe this sends the application into a tailspin?
