Copying text from VW'24 to VW'23

Because of a seperate issue with VW24, I am having to revet to using VW23 for a project. I had already created some content in the 24 version of the file which I want to cut and paste back into the 23 version. However, text when transferred rather than appearing as one block, each letter is a seperate text item, with there also being a seperate rectangle for the block outline. Please address this bug asap

I am not seeing this in VW2024 Update 3 on Mac.

 

What happens when you try this between new blank files (with only a text object)?

 

What happens when you copy a piece of text our of a new VW2024 file and paste into your VW2023 file?

I can't remember excatly; but could it be possible that this only happes with active plan rotation?

I was pasting into a viewport.. would that still be an issue?

I have not been able to replicate this on Mac.

 

I have copied text from 2024 from a design layer, from a Rotated Plan design layer, from a sheet layer, from a viewport annotation and pasted each version into a VW2023 Design Layer, Rotated Plan Design Layer, Sheet Layer, and Viewport Annotation.

 

None of the combinations resulted in separation of the letters to different text blocks.

 

I don't even have any idea on how to do that if you wanted to in VW.

 

Ungroup, Convert to Group don't do it.

 

Maybe Convert Text to Polylines? But I think that would leave you a group.

 

If you can show this in a simple file, please submit a bug with both the 2024 and 2023 files and the exact versions of each you are running, including the Build Number (available in the About VW window).
