Plant tag manipulation

It seems I can no longer manipulate the plants tags except in the plant style editor which changes all of them.  I cannot access them in the object info palette either.

I used to be able to manipulate the plants in the object info palette.  Now it seems I cannot.  It is all grayed and inaccessible.

Is there a setting I need to change?

It sounds like you are using a Plant Style that has all of those settings set to By Style instead of By Instance.

 

Spread and Height are By Style.  Hedge Mode is by Instance.  Click the icon to swap between the two modes.
