Trouble with installing Third Party Plug-ins

I am trying to install a third-party plug-in and having difficulty- file is in a zip still compressed. I followed all directions on from the plug-in site but every time I click the install button under the third-party plug ins tab, no pop up window appears so I can't import the file. 

 

Is the file type wrong (would a .vwlibrary file work better?) Do I need to manually put the file in the Vectorworks plug-in folder? Right now it is just on my desktop. 

 

I am on a Mac running Vectorworks 2023 if that helps.

When I click the Install button from the Plug-in Manager 3rd Party tab, I get a file picker window. You should get that also.  Are you running any kind of security or virus check on your computer? If so, turn it off.

 

I would try the following, testing if you can install between each step:

 

1. Restart VW.

2. Run the VW Updater Application. Click the Advanced Options button at the center left and choose Repair.

3. Reset Preferences (from VW Preferences) and Restart VW.

4. Clean install of VW.

5. Call Technical Support Directly.
