PERSPECTIVE CROP

Any idea why I get a perspective crop on vectorworks 2024.

Since I started using vectorworks in 2021, I never activated this feature, and never used legacy features.

I used this script to turn it off

Are you using a template file? If so, it is likely that that template has the Perspective Crop turned on.

 

What happens if you start with a new blank file? Is the crop on or off?

I started with my own template made from scratch with the 2023 version. It happened I think after updating an instrument summary.

(The old version, I can't make the new inventory to show properly the count left...)

So try this.

 

Open your template file.

Go to Document Preferences:Legacy 2D.  Check the Enable Legacy 2D Features check box.

Close Docuement Preferences

Open Document Preferences:Display pane

At the very bottom of the list there should be a Crop Perspective View option.  Is it checked?  If so, uncheck it and close Document Preferences.

Close Document Preferences. 

Open Document Preferences

Check that Crop Perspective View is still unchecked.

Go to the Legacy 2D pane and uncheck the Enable Legacy 2D Features check box.

Close Document Preferences.

Go to File:Save as Template.  If you are brave, just overwrite your existing template. Or Save it as a new template, but then you have to remember which one to use.

Thanks, I did this process with my file, but it came back.

Your script worked, and so far it is solved.

I will try this method on my template if it comes back, thanks for your help.
