Chris Clymer
Hi All, I'm currently working remotely with my draftsman. We work independently on small projects and simply upload files to a mutually share folder in my Microsoft OneDrive. However, when I open the file they've uploaded, I find some of the annotations in one or 2 section viewports has shifted. Beyond the annotations, I've also noticed some viewport class settings have also changed. I've checked our Origin settings and they are the same - but this should have no affect on class settings anyway. I can't think of anything that could possibly cause this. I've scoured the forum and have only found discussions on Layer Plane v Screen Plan. This issue is only apparent in Sheet layers (which is a screen plan only), so I don't think that's applicable. Anyone ever run into this? Thanks! Chris Quote Link to comment
Chris Clymer
Update... It turns out my draftsman is running Windows 11 with Vectorworks 2023, and I'm running Windows 10 with Vectorworks 2023. Could this be problematic? Quote Link to comment
shorter
how are the files being shared? are you simply opening the file or are you using project sharing, or referencing, or both? we have 10s of 1000s of shared files in 100s of offices, and never have any issues like this. that said, not many in the scenario you describe, i.e. different windows OS. grant_PD
Can't imagine why classes would turn on and off unless that's operator error. Is the font you are using for the file installed for both users? That could make the annotations jump around.... 1 Quote Link to comment
