Malcolm Woodruff
I have a 10.7 inch IPAD Pro bought in 2019. I have mounted the Nomad Ap. It shows the vax files in the ap but does not allow me to do anything with them. Should the ap run ok on this IPAD? It runs ok on my Iphone XS Quote Link to comment
E|FA
I run it on a 2nd gen iPad pro, which I think is older. Quote Link to comment
rDesign
@Malcolm Woodruff I’m able to run Nomad on my even older iPad Air 2 (bought in 2015). I’m unable to install iPadOS 16, so I have to run the older version of Nomad (version 12.9), but it works. The current version of Nomad (13.0) requires iPadOS 16. Try deleting the Nomad app, restart your iPad, and then reinstall the Nomad app from the App Store. Edited October 12, 2023 by rDesign Quote Link to comment
Malcolm Woodruff
Have tried deleting and reinstalling the ap but no success. The files are there but when I tap on one it just asks me whether I want to share or delete the file. On the phone it asks whether I want to view in AR or 3D. If I continue to press on the phone I get the same dialogue as the iPad so it may be a tapping problem but I have not been able to solve it. Quote Link to comment
rDesign
It sounds like an issue with your iPad. Here’s what I get on my iPad with .vwx files: A Tap on the .VWX file brings up this dialogue box: And a Long Hold on the .VWX file I get this dialogue box: Edited October 12, 2023 by rDesign Quote Link to comment
Malcolm Woodruff
Well, in that case, it may be just the excuse I need to get a new iPad with Lidar 😃 Quote Link to comment
E|FA
Just checked: Nomad 12.9 is running on 2nd gen iPad Pro, iPad OS 17.0.2 Quote Link to comment
Malcolm Woodruff
Just an update. I bought a new IPAD Pro and it is running fine. Scans are amazing 🙂 Still not running on the old IPad though. Quote Link to comment
