gester
hi, another question after the viewing of the archicad 27 webinar: is it possible to do datavisualization in vectorworks file, except that not on the viewports, but directly in the model? e.g. colouring of the walls according to the different fire resistance (red - 60 minutes, orange - 30 minutes, yellow - 15 minutes) directly in the model, and save it for future views... thanks, rob Quote Link to comment
zoomer
I have not yet used data visualization .... but AFAIK Yes. There is the Data Vis Menu in Top Bar. Quote Link to comment
gester
for the viewports... Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
Yes you can apply Data Visualisations to the model on the design layer + save them in Saved Views. They are very useful for interrogating the model as you design. As well as applying them to viewports as well of course. Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Thanks, sorry, I thought I could activate it for DLs there. Quote Link to comment

Tom W.
On the DL you control Data Vis from the View Bar drop-down like you say. For a VP you do it from the OIP (Tool Bar settings are greyed out on when on sheet layer). The Data Vis controls in VW2024 are very nice! 1 Quote Link to comment

Yes. Just make sure that at step 3 that you have 'save data vis' checked in the 'Save View' dialog. Quote Link to comment

You do not need to change the Wall's Colors. You use Data Vis to temporarily overwrite the current object appearance. In this case, by defining Data Vis to use certain colors for fire resistances, which Data Vis reads from your object data/tags. Quote Link to comment
