Data tags all reset if edited

Hi,

 

I'm having this problem in SP7 in a shared/server based file. Video attached.

If I edit the data tag style (change the diameter of the data tag for example). Every tag defaults to A20. 

 

I've seen this asked before but most people say it has been resolved in previous service packs

 

Any work-arounds or fixes to this?

In another related thread posted below, @Nikolay Zhelyazkov said that "the fix to this bug did not fix already broken data tags so the first time they are reset they will reset to default again, but after that they should not reset anymore".

 

So maybe you have to go through the pain of the tags resetting once, and then they won't reset again?

Hello all,

 

We have also added a fix for broken files in VW 2024 so this should not be happening anymore at all in this version.

 

@RainCity can you share your file so that we can confirm that the issue is because it was broken before the fix? You can also confirm this yourself if you update your values and then they should not reset anymore.

Thanks for you feedback. I've attached the file but it is a project sharing file so unsure if this will be an issue?

Let me know if you come up with any good ideas. There are probably a couple of hundred tags so finding and manually changing them all would be pretty arduous.

Thanks for the file. If you create new script in this file and write DT_FixBrokenField; in it and then execute the script it should fix your broken data tags.
