Fill colour export to dwg disappears in AutoCAD

gmulder

Question

Hello Vectors,

Is there a way to export the fill colour into a dwg export? As far as I know, if you set the line colour it will be exported as the fill colour. In this case I want to have it the other way around because I mostly use black line colours.

This means that all my symbols will be exported as white.

Hmmh, AFAIK DWG has no simple fill color as VW or other (non DWG clone) CAD Apps.

AFAIR you habe to apply a Hatch with a solid color type to your closed Polylines there.

Only Solids (includes (2D like) "Regions") can have a color like VW's solid color.

Usually configured as by Object, by Layer, by Block, ....

Doesn't have VW's DWG Export have advanced options (preserve fills and such)

to control this ?

Opposed to VW, in DWG colors can be defined by Block.

So if you define the Block color or by Layer,

the included geometry will appear in the Block's color.

Not sure if VW would export color definition ever by Block,

but then if you have all your Symbols on the none Class,

and none Class with Solid Color white would import Blocks

on Layer "none" with white color and every former Symbol

content would look white in DWG ....
