Merging VW files and Bringing in Linked Viewports from other VW files

Hello, I'm in VW 2023 and wanting to merge files. I am having problems bringing in design layers and sheet layers from another VW document.

 

1. I right click to create new design layer then tick the box import design layer, choose the document i want to import, but in the design layer box it doesn't show any of the design layers from the other documnt for me to bring in. When i click ok it brings in only the first design layer from the other document not all of them.

 

2. Also this did not bring in the sheet layers from the other document. 

 

Ideally I want to bring in the design layers as well as sheet layers with LINKED viewports still working from one VW file into another. But currently haven't found a way to do this. 

 

Any help with merging VW files together would be great, cheers.

a possible answer for item 1 on your list,  if your current document has layer names that are the same as the ones you want to import they won't show on the list as a layer you can import.
