LightEmittingRobot
Importing a DWG which has been made in software other than Vectorworks imports with a mess of triangulation which I am unable to remedy. I have recently moved over from Capture for stage lighting design and even though they are very much a basic software package in comparison to Vectorworks. However, importing this same model in to Capture, I have an option called "Hide Distracting Lines" which takes any messy triangulation mesh on the selected object and simplifies it to a workable state. This is something I am unable to achieve in Vectorworks and it makes it incredibly difficult to work in 3D view without showing and hiding classes over and over when I need or don't need them. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to achieve this or is this something which isn't possible within Vectorworks? Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
Try looking at it in shaded mode instead of wireframe. 1 Quote Link to comment
line-weight
Yes, 99% of the time I'm working in a 3d view, I use shaded mode. There are quite a few things you can tweak to get what you like, for example drawing edges or not, displaying textures, shadows, etc etc. Quote Link to comment
