Swales
I am suddenly unable to select the main drop down bar (File, Edit, View, Modify etc). I try to select them but they're totally unresponsive. Have never had this issue before. Mac OS 12.6 16" Macbook Pro Quote Link to comment
0 zoomer
I usually see this as a sign that I should reboot my Mac again .... Or did you already try and it persists ? Quote Link to comment
0 Swales
Thanks for the response. Several times, most recently a few minutes ago. No change. I've had some pretty spectacular crashes recently, but I don't see how they're related. All the other buttons in the main palettes work, but I don't see how I'm going to be be able to publish sheets on two projects due tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
0 zoomer
First I would load the VW updater manually from within the App Folder and start a repair. Next I would hide (temporarily renaming) my User Folder. In case VW Settings or Workspace went corrupt. Keep some Backups. If there are no User Settings in its common Folder Hierarchy, VW will create new ones from scratch. If it works without your old custom settings, you need to find the culprit in your Settings, by copying them back one by one .... But if it is not better with blank settings, you can bring back your custom user settings back anyway. On the other hand, do you have the latest update for Monterey already ? 1 Quote Link to comment
0 Swales
It wasn't working last night, but it is now. Not sure what happened as I was already updated to SP3. Checked via Updater and I was up to date. Very weird. Thanks for the assistance. Quote Link to comment

0 Swales
The error has suddenly resumed. I'm unable to access the top level drop-downs. I'm currently working on my macbook without an external monitor. Wonder if that might have something to do with it. I'm waiting to a new monitor. As soon as I have it, I'll plug in an try again. Now on SP4. Edited March 22, 2023 by Swales Quote Link to comment
0 Swales
After a long absence this error has come up again. Trying to upgrade to SP5, but can't press the button for "check for updates." Quote Link to comment
0 Swales
Just ran the repair tool via updater launched directly from Applications. Seems to have fixed it. Found 3400-ish errors? Quote Link to comment
