NArchitecture
Hi! I've recently updated the master template file that we use on new projects including various viewport/pen filters and some other items. Is it possible to 'import' the new template to an existing file, do reduce the need of otherwise copying and pasting an entire project to the new template? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
NArchitecture
Has anyone managed to do this before? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
I don't think what you want is possible. A Layer By Layer Copy/Paste In Place from the old file into the new combined with Copy/Paste in Place of Viewport Crops and Annotations would probably be the best way. But I am not certain. Perhaps my post will draw out a better answer. Quote Link to comment
Llama Architect
Hi, we looked at similar process but in the end we set up using a saved setting in the eyedropper tool to copy and paste viewport properties/ visibilities etc, so we copy 'looks' from a library file. [That method could also copy specific layer visibilities, but we have all projects with a unique job number as part of every design layer name so that bit didn't work for us.] Quote Link to comment
