Has anyone managed to do this before?

Hi! I've recently updated the master template file that we use on new projects including various viewport/pen filters and some other items. Is it possible to 'import' the new template to an existing file, do reduce the need of otherwise copying and pasting an entire project to the new template? Thanks!
