  1. As of recent I am unable to import any downloaded SketchUp files into Vectorworks 2020 or 2022. Has anyone else had this problem?
  2. I received a civil #d file from a client to use in my preparation of a master development plan. When I inserted the file in a new drawing the size of the file doubled and all of the items that were poly lines in the original defaulted to millions of tiny line segments. The file was extremely slow in responding to commands and I could do nothing to improve the situation. As a last resort I called support and the person I spoke to said the civil three d would not work in VW. Why can't we have the ability to import those type of files in a usable format? I see that you allow Revit but more and more of the Civil companies are going to Civil 3d and this creates an issue. Any ideas on how I should proceed? 10-01-2020 Project Drawing Base.vwx

    IFC import

I have an issue with IFC import not showing up. Vectorworks says that the IFC import is successful and all the Classes and Layers are imported but phisical model it self is not present. If I press ctrl+A (select all) then Object info palet displays "no selection" in other words there is nothing to be selected. Has anyone else had similar issue? Any tips? The IFC is exported from AutoCAD Civil 3D. Thanks!
  4. Hi, Having issues importing sketchup files into vw 2017 SP2. I've attempted importing files from sketchup 2015 through 2017 to no avail. I'm aware of the existing issue with importing Sketchup2017 files into VW2017, but from everything I've read downsaving should do the the trick. However, I keep getting the same error message over and over telling me that my file is corrupt or from an unrecognized version of sketchup regardless of if I've saved downsaved it. This is across multiple files as well. The original file I was trying to convert was about 64MB so I tried creating a little test file from scratch and had the same problems. Perhaps this in an issue with any drawing originating from Sketchup 2017? Thoughts?
