VW 12 Help - same deal Search for Worksheet Columns and Look at 100. Worksheet Commands Also when Editing a WS - expand the page so you can see all of the WS particularly the bottom right corner. Hover your mouse on the bottom right corner of the bottom right cell and a little angled icon appears Drag down to add more rows and right to add more columns

When you import and set the file up ready to work on Careful I Purge Unused Object I Save the file I Copy and Paste the whole file into a new blank file And see how the linestyles are going

It has happened to me after importing dwgs

Has anyone noticed this. In my version of VW 2008 I was working away and wanted to use the Duplicate Along Path Tool using Create Path Mode and could not find it in my Workspace. In VW 12.5 it was in my Workspace as a tool Did a search in Help for Duplicate Along Path in 2008 - is it a new function - Edit>Duplicate Along Path VW my version 12.5 had Edit>Duplicate and Edit>Duplicate Array VW my version 2008 has Edit>Duplicate, Edit>Duplicate Array and Edit>Duplicate Along Path So using VW 2008 tried to use Edit>Duplicate Along Path but I could not work out how to use it in Create Path mode Questioned this to find out the original Duplicate Along Path was still a Tool I could add to me Workspace which I did and it has Create Path Mode Seems to me Edit>Duplicate Along Path and Tool - Duplicate Along Path are different

How are you trying to open it?

Found a little bug and have tried it in a file I have been working on and two new ones. Plant tool ? Poly Edged Space Mode Drag a line of Plants out and then hit your middle mouse button to pan the view ? the Plant Tool lets go of the line of Plants but starts again at the end of the Pan. The original line of plants is lost.

Tried this again 2 for line tool - G key - Tab - input X amount - Tab - I can lock to the dashed line - no Enter Key is required For X and Y coordinates - same 5 for Polyline tool - G key - Tab - input X amount - Tab - input Y amount and I can snap to the intersection of the two dashed lines Is this how the Data Bar should work - no Enter Key

All Okies - with the settings (top right of screen little black arrow) set to Use Floating Data Bar I hit 2 (line tool) hover over say the corner of a rectangle or whatever hit the G key then Tab Tab (in the X Field) enter in 200 for 200 mms and hit the enter key - the dashed line you snap to appears but disappears straight away and I cannot snap to it. Anyone else experiencing this or am I doing something wrong

Somehow easier to use - dunno not as clunky and features to explore and see how they will work - hold up - seems OK - User Accounts, Rotate, hey and Opacity on Windows

Pushpan, That is what I did. I remember some issues with VW12 I think all will be OK.

Christian, I am on Windows and used 2008 today for an hour. In the middle of a large project with serious 'we require by dates' so just had a feel of it for awhile and was very impressed. I found it to be slower than 12.5 but smoother in a sense, a little more intuitive - just easier to use. Apparently there are still some bugs to sort out but even given that I feel really comfortable moving forward. Sorry I am not on a Mac

Katie, There is lots of software out there that allows a user to choose there own keyboard shortcuts. So we have to shuffle through all the already assigned VW keyboard shortcuts and be certain to choose none of them but a unique one - that is possible. And then too maybe be certain that the one we choose is not a Windows shortcut too that just may happen to work in VW as well. Again from the Microsoft KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310417 Which again says - If you scroll down a bit it says this - 'A keyboard shortcut does not work if it conflicts with a keyboard combination that is used in the program that is currently active' Question is - How come - and are there any others? From a post above I asked - In your post above you say - 'Alt and a letter in any software will invoke the menu as long as the OS setting is enabled' Do you know how to turn the setting on or off in Windows XP Pro? To which you replied - I'll look into a little bit later on. I think it's in system settings somewhere. Did you find out how to do this? Generally what I find interesting is this - many VW users one would imagine use VW keyboard shortcuts to do things. That being true how come few have discovered this issue with the Eyedropper Tool?

Pat, Thanks again. On my XP puter I selected the entire row and it worked.

I have a Worksheet with two columns and several rows In the first cell in the bottom row I have a sentance which I wish to merge with the cell to the right and wrap the text too. Is it possible - I cannot get it to work. I can only get text to wrap in one cell - not through the two.

Katie, I found this Microsoft KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310417 If you scroll down a bit it says this - 'A keyboard shortcut does not work if it conflicts with a keyboard combination that is used in the program that is currently active' I think Alt+ whatever letter opening the Windows menu items are probably useful and should stay as they are. Maybe the simplest thing is if NNA announces a new shortcut for the Eye Dropper tool and leave the Alt+ letters as they are for Windows users. I prefer to use the NNA defaults rather than change them. I did not know about these Windows shortcuts until last week when I discovered this and will use them in Windows moving forward. Another good one as an example is Alt+Tab to shift between active Windows

Katie, Sorry hit the wrong key - maybe you can get rid of the above post. We are just wondering if it is possible to turn it off / on in XP and Vista. Apparently it is ok on a MAC but XP and Vista are not.

Hi all, Has anyone else had this problem with VW 12? I use VWLMRW 12.5.2 The keyboard shortcut for the Eyedropper tool is Alt+E - when I hit Alt+E my Edit Menu opens - checked my Workspace and all is ok in there - Alt+E is set for the Eyedropper tool So - Alt+F ? File Menu opens ? Alt+V ? View menu opens ? Alt+M Modify menu opens - Alt+A - AEC menu opens ? Alt+T ? Tools menu opens - etc VW12 ? Help ? Keyboard Shortcuts says Alt+Shift+E is for the Eyedropper Tool ? tried that and it opens the Edit Menu too. What is the short cut for Eyedropper Tool ? Al+E or Alt+Shift+E? Also on my Windows XP machine this happens for all of the Alts above ? Alt+Shift+ letters as in Alt+ letters above opens all of my Menu items Another VW 12 Help says for Quarter Arc Tool Alt+3 whereas when I hover my mouse over the tool ? I get 3 as the shortcut. I have been using 3 as that shortcut anyway - strange though that Help says something different.
