corner window with post not displaying correctly, am I doing something wrong?

cant seem to make door classes work, windows seem to be OK but changing textures in doors doesn't seem to chnage any thing

oops that should have read "to solid" and not to model, when I use it I just get an error message, see attachment.

what does the "to model" command under the model menu do?

I've had this problem, since the inclusion of stories in the program the wall heigh no longer seem to make any sense also the way you reshape walls seems to have changed? the centre node point of the wall seems to float above the wall itself when you start adding and moving the other nodes. (see attached) doesn't seem to make sense any more

is there a tool for removing duplicate lines?

since installing version 2012 I'm having problems with the number of prints vctorworks produces, if I tell it to print a single copy I get one copy but if I try to print two copies I get four copies and so on - any one else had a similar problem. The plotter I use is a Designjet 500. This problem only happens with vectorworks. Also when GDI+Imaging is turned on I can only print a single copy whatever number I try to print.

I've had the same problem, I paid for mine on the 29th Sept. and still nothing. I had an email from my reseller see below. Vss contract and login update I am really very sorry, we are trying to get these out to you ASAP. Unfortunately there is a massive backlog at the Nemetschek end due to a big surge in demand around the launch, combined with Nemetschek implementing a new system which will make delivery of your VSS info and free upgrades more automatic in the future. This combination is effecting anything related to VSS. We will send out the info as soon as we get it ? I can assure you we have staff primed to send out this info as soon as it is available. Both Nemetschek and ourselves are very aware that this will not be giving the best impression of VSS but we hope to get things back on track shortly. When the contracts come through, they will hopefully have an extension to your renewal date so that you are getting a full year of service.

is it possible to import a spread sheet (excel) into vectorworks and have it linked so when you change the spreadsheet in Excel the one in vectorworks updates as well?

What is happening with VSS I've received nothing

I've been getting problems usually when editing symbols or pluggin objects. I've had a few crashes for no reason

click settings in the object info palette for the door, then go to the general tab

here's another problem that I've got when I select an object like a door or window the object info palette takes at least three seconds to fill with information relating to the object, it seems the screen takes for ever to refresh, any thoughts? and this is a new computer with quite a high spec.

What?s happening with Vectorworks Service Support. It seems I?ve paid nearly ?600 and what for? An update that doesn?t seem to have any real improvements in fact confuses even more (stories) and VSS which doesn?t exist, I feel I?ve been miss sold a product.

what do people think about Vectorworks Select Service?, is this nemetschek trying to get us to pay for future updates before they come onto the market? or am I becoming sceptical in my old age?

why when Vectorworks starts up or when its updating viewports or just generally falling down a message to the top left of the screen states that vectorworks is not responding (see attachment) so how do I know whether the program has crashed or not?

It seemed to be the new stair tool was causing the problem as the rendering problem only happened to the layers with stairs on them, I've now done a complete re-install of vectorworks & that seems to have fixed the problem.

I've just updated to SP4 and can no longer render in hidden line mode when in the design layers the drawing renders in polygon mode? Viewports still render in hidden line though, confused, help!

I get strange results when i choose merge adjacent componants with same fill in the advanced section properties see attached, anyone else get this problem? capture 01 is before & 02 is after
