  1. you can use roof faces, they are much easier when creating complex foofs
  2. I would like to delete many vertices of a polygon/polyline at the same time. A bit like that rectangle you can draw to move a part of a polygon/line. Now we need to delete vertex per vertex, it is really time consuming.
  3. you can use patterns. it doesn't work in openGL, but it works if you render with polygons.
  4. that's actually it! The mistery is solved!
  5. For 2D: that's not working: if you have the bottom object selected in a stack order, and you Alt grap-move, you'll still get the upper object. For 3D: it's the same as for 2D objects
  6. that's wright. I recently became to understand how you can use the powerfull 3D tools of VW, and it is much like SketchUp, but more advanced and better. The even became much much better in version 12.
  7. I tried to select many objects on different zoom levels with alt+select. and this is what i found out: The delete button is not working some of the time (so not always) and mostly the times I'm more zoomed in, Although it also sometimes happens when I'm zoomed out a lot, but rarely. So I do not think it is because of the number of selected objects alone. I think it is more of the combination of selected objects, zoom level, and way of selecting (alt+select). But I can't find the relationship between them. It so uncertain. Hopefully we can solve this and find why it is happening.
  8. Which tool is that DWorks? its like drawing walls. and we can make isolation with it to. So you just create the thickness by building up a number of hatch "levels" (lines) right next to each other? thats correct
  9. I had it again. No operation tool is in action. And I have it when I select my objects with 'Alt+Select' and not with 'Select'. So I think the problem is with Alt Selecting objects. Not working of Del and zooming also depends on how much you are zoomed in. I am trying to see how it reacts to it. but everytime I try to zoom in and out and see how it works on different zoom levels, it changes the action. I mean that it first didn't work on 200 zoom factor and after zooming out and in several times, it does works on 200 zoom factor. This is a very strange case. I tested it in VW 11.5. PS: hitting Esc will solve the problem and your Del will work.
  10. not that i know of, but i will look for it next time i encounter it.
  11. why would you have that? it much more clearer if you put you're mouse where you want to zoom.
  12. watch the movies on the VW site, i did it and it is a great help
  13. 1)there's a tool for drawing that (although in our version). 2)or you can do: you can make a hatch pattern from it and choose to rotate it in a wall. the hatch will be many stripes next to each other (all layers)
  14. that's the solution, thx katie, I did not know that you can set the rendering options for layer per layer.
  15. Sometimes, I have that problem too. This is solved by first hitting the escape key. When this occurs, I can't even zoom in or out before hitting escape.
  16. When i create a layer link, it shows up in sketch style. In the info pallet, under the rendering tab, is the text: 'cannot apply sketch style'. Why is this happening? I do not want to have that sketch style, but i can turn it of.
  17. But what if you need to turn of some kind of text in your vp? The only way to do that is via classes.
  18. But when you select more than 1 line, you can't see that in the info pallet, so you can't do it that way. Or is this changed in VW12? (tested in VW11.5.1)
  19. i use: tekst - algemeen {for all text that doesn't need to be in a class apart} tekst - schrijnwerk {for all text from windows, doors, etc.} tekst - ruimtes {for all text from spaces like bathroom etc.} tekst - niveaus {for text from levels etc.} i use these because i need to disable them in a vp.
  20. mine does it too, so that's strange, it should work that way
  21. what scale are you using? if you have a little picture, you will get a bad render.
  22. yes, but there are procedures in procedures that are in procedures and so on. Oh, and that of case with strings would be very welcome too
  23. like the subject says: the ability to (un)fold procedure and function. this would be very handy if you're code becomes long. then you can fold the functions/procedures you're not working on and have a better overview of the program
  24. or make them a group, and delete the line
