  1. I can't always import texture files into a drawing. I get an alert saying that the NNA Phong record is already named and can't be renamed, and the operation has been cancelled. Question, wazzup wit dat? And another serious problem. The wall tool (straight and curved) causes some serious crashes on contact. Usually just extending an end point of a wall can cause an immediate VW crash. I haven't been able to isolate that one specifically.
  2. Thanks ionw, I'll try that in the morning. BTW, have you had any success running Software Update over an NT network in any version of OSX? It used to work. Now it doesn't. Just like my wife.
  3. I can't import diddly squat now. What gives? I'm running OSX 10.2.1 and running out of hair. Any suggestions?
  4. If you're using v.9.5 then create the wood grain yourself in the texture window using the numerous controls for grain and color. If you stick with the image, distort the x,y distances to stretch the image.
  5. Graying the glass fill color also works. The BEST idea is to upgrade to v9.5. The controls are much more sophisticated. (No I don't work for NNA)
  6. The work around is to enter the door symbol and convert the door swing arc to a polygon.
  7. Very thoughtful comments all. The simplicity we may all be searching for is found in a -command-letter- keystroke like the dearly departed Trim command. At baseline logic, I too believe the marquee rope movement should not deselect. Deselection should be as simple as an empty mouse click. I will pray for the trim command to rise like the phoenix in the fall.
  8. Anyone have suffer the results of offseting a circle and only getting any arc with no attributes? I have.
  9. In FreeHand you hit the F12 key for the same result. Simple, eh?
  10. Sadly, as the icon portrays, I have tossed in the my blood, sweat and tear stained hankie on this greatly anticipated release-come-disaster. Quite a mess if I do say so myself. I have sent a few files at the request of NNA techs and have received zero (0) return correspondence. Pitiful. You chaps let me know when spring break is over and decide to fix the swarm of bugs.
  11. So that there may be no confusion on this issue, I submit there is NO substitute for the efficiency of Command-T. One simple hand movement. Done. Over. Goodnight.
  12. Please bring back the "Command T" option to simply trim with a selected line or object. Please do it now, not later, now! Fix the Align Objects windows. Simply copy the Freehand 9.0 format for clicking with a gridded window. Thanks, from a user since MC4
  13. Why did the most useful keystroke shortcut disappear? Was that a bright move or am I the dope who can't find the new keystroke? Help?
  14. You are kidding, right? They can put a man on the moon............ What's the holdup fellas?
  15. BRING BACK THE TRIM COMMAND (COMMAND-T) NOW! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? FIX THAT STUPID ALIGN OBJECTS WINDOW NOW! YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CLICK THE WINDOW, NOT ONLY THE BUTTONS! SEE FREEHAND 9.0! NOW! HOLDING DOWN THE ARROWS WILL NOT SCROLL THE SCREEN. YOU HAVE THE HIT THEM ONE AT A TIME. WHY CAN'T I HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY TO CONSTRAIN MOVEMENT WHILE MOVING AN OBJECT ANYMORE? FIX THE TRIM COMMAND, NOW! (now I'm repeating myself)
  16. Try using the transparent plastic texture and adjust the transparency according to your needs. This seems to cut out the glare.
  17. I'm having a problem opening and exported .eps file to Freehand 8.0.1. - I've just installed MacOS 9. Help!
