  1. Hi Everybody, here goes an update...

We finally have the permanent license, so everything is updated now. The issue is gone! Section viewport works fine now!

By the way, as we now have a Service Select Subscription, I'm using company e-mail!

Thanks everyone for the attention, and as we're beginners using Interiorcad we'll probably be here many times!

    Great regards!

    Bruno.

  2. Hy everyone, I'm running Vectorworks 2023 and Interiocad trial license and had some issues using section viewport for cabinets.

The parts appear out of place in the viewport, as in the images below:

Left Image - Design layer, Left clip cube view, wireframe. Plinth is in the right place.

Right Image - Sheet layer, 2 section viewports from the same cabinet (done through clip cube), hidden line. In the first one, Plinth and doors out of place. In the last one, door is ok but front plinth is out of place

  3. Hi Everybody!

I received some 2D drawings to produce a customer service counter in a mall and need some help with an issue...

I'm modeling the counter to set the construction documents and CNC files, but don't know how to plan one of the pieces direct from the 3D.

Attached some images to illustrate the issue...the yellow piece in the model is the one I want to create a plan for a CNC file.

    Any idea?

    Thanks!

  4. Hi Benson!

Nice to hear from you again!

The idea was not to create a walk-through animation because of the amount of work it demands, but I guess that this will be the way to get there!

Do you know if in Cinema 4D the process is the same?

    Thanks!

    Bruno.

  5. Hi everybody!

A friend comes with an issue today, as I'm the only one who uses VW in the company at the moment...

Can we simulate a movement of a piece of furniture on Vectorworks? like opening a drawer for example?

Is the software capable to create animation?

    Thanks for all!

    Bruno.

  6. Great Benson!

I'm getting there...I first tried to use just the area considering the 2D source an MDF board, in this case, the extrusion would be always the thickness of the board, which I could name in a text record and have my worksheet organized, but...area function doesn't work when I edit the extrusion like tapering a face in 45º (it becomes a generic solid)...then I'm trying to use your idea above...tell you if it works!

    Thanks again!

  7. Hi Benson! Thanks!

I thought about using this first method...but in fact, I need to put it in a worksheet to take off the area to calculate MDF boards quantity! So, I could associate a record to each surface, but it would be a lot of work...do you have any other idea to this take off?

    Thanks again!

  8. Hello everyone,
    need some help with worksheets...
I'm trying to create my own space area worksheet for a new template in VW2016.
I created 5 spaces to be listed and test the worksheet, but the space named Living Room
isnt listed with the correct name, insted of this it appears as another bath! In the image
you can see that the value of the area listed is correct (43,41m2) but the space name is
    shown as "bath".
I tried to create the space in diferent ways, check all the fields in the object info pallete,
and redraw the example for the spaces as well for the worksheet! Can someone help me?

    Thanks!
    Bruno.
