Ed Wachter
Hi. I am wondering if textures that have a surface hatch can display that hatch in Top/Plan view. What I'm seeing so far are textures whose hatch only appears in hidden line render mode. I'd like to be able to apply a texture to a floor object that looks like tile in 3D views and displays a simple line hatch in plan that also look like tile. Can a texture do this? Thanks, Ed Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
Textures control how an object looks in 3D. Graphic Attributes control how it looks in 2D. A surface hatch is a 3D attribute by definition: it is what you see instead of the texture in 3D Hidden Line views. In Top/Plan + other 2D views what you see is determined by the Fill selected in the Attributes Palette or the Graphic Attributes for the object's class. So apply a Hatch Fill to your Floor object + that's what you'll see in Top/Plan. 3 Quote Link to comment
