michael s
How can I create trapezoid windows, and show them in 3D elevations drawings? When I use the "rotate 3D" procedure the 3D walls also rotates. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Trap windows are tricky. As far as I know there is no simple way to do it, but here are a couple options. 1) Create a window with close to zero actual height, but with a "sloped" transom of the desired height. 2) You can "subtract solids" from the wall. So you would create an extruded tapazodial form that would cut out a portion of the walls. This means the wall will lose its editability (as a wall). Quote Link to comment
michael s
by trapezoid - similar to parallelogram. the top & bottom is the same slope, say as a roof, and the two sides are plumb. Quote Link to comment
Kevin
I have constructed windows from solids. For circular windows I have had to do this. It takes time, but it can be done. BTW, I think NNA forces us to do this from time to time so that we will appreciate how wonderful and easy the window PIO is. Quote Link to comment
