Andrew Mac Posted October 4, 2005 Share Posted October 4, 2005 I have notice when I use the stair tool that there is a feature on the OIP that I can check the draw top tread. I quess I a not understanding what the top tread is, is it the floor itseld, for ezample, my flr to flr height is 10'0", do I need ti check the draw top tread? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign Posted October 4, 2005 Share Posted October 4, 2005 In most "typical" wood framed stair assemblies, the "top tread" is actually part of the floor. Sometimes it's good to verify where the tread is (in plan view). Whether this box is checked or not, it will not change the dimension(s) or position of the stair. You can prove this to yourself by changing your view to front (or side) so that you can see the stair in profile. In this view, try clicking/unclicking the "draw top tread" checkbox. You will see clearly what it does... Quote Link to comment
