Here's how: 1) Apply a hatch to an object 2) With object selected, in the ATTRIBUTES palette, click on the name of the hatch (which should be there, it's the second pulldown from the top) and the pulldown will open. Scroll down to "Hatch...". 3) Now you should have a dialog called "Document Hatches". Make sure the correct hatch is highlighted and click on "edit". 4) Now you should have a dialog called "Edit Hatch". In this dialog you can change the color/weight of any of the line segments and 5) you can add a background fill to the hatch, and choose the color of that fill. Hope that helps...
