michael john williams
Michael I have just upgraded from VW to VW Architect and Renderworks and I have been having a few problems: The pc keeps crashing but I have just added the SP for windows and so hopefully that will resolve that one. On opening existing 11.00 files a Font Mapping comes up requesting replacing Geneva with Ariel. I did replace but that crashed the pc pre SP installed and so I am currently just cancelling the message, but it still pos up every time I open an existing file. What should I do? Also, I have been trying the wall to roof tool [this was one of the main reasons for upgrading] but the wall s are going all over the place in 3D view, seem to be clicking to either the tops or bottoms of adjoining walls and are so triangular in elevation. I attach a file as it will be much easier to view. Look forward to your help. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted June 22, 2005 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 22, 2005 The Fit Walls to Roof tool works much, much better if the geometry that you're fitting the walls to is on a different layer from the walls. Quote Link to comment
michael john williams
They are in different layers! The walls are in one layer and the roof is in another layer. They are in the same class though. This was one of the main reasons to upgrade to Architect and the fit to roof feature does not work! Quote Link to comment
