MikeN
The Export Image File function is not working in VWA 10.1.0. Absolutely nothing happens when I select it. All the other export functions seem to be working. It worked in 10.0....any ideas? Quote Link to comment
Guest
What version of QuickTime do you have installed? When this version was isntalled, was the default installation used, or was a custom installation used? If you have QT 5 or 6 and you did not use a custom installatoin, that would be the cause. Required components of QuickTime needed for the export are not installed by default or in a typical/recommended install by QT. Thus resulting into absolutely nothing happening when the export is attempted. Reinstalling QuickTime using a CUSTOM installation should fix it for you. After specifying CUSTOM as the installation, select all components to install. YOu may not be able to install java, which is perfectly fine. Restart the computer and launch VW. You should be able to export images now. Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
Runtime, I can confirm that with a system almost identical to yours my export image function works fine with VWA 10.1. Quote Link to comment
Chris T
WINXP- P4, 2.0 mhz, 1GB RAM W/ Q.T. 5. I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND THIS WAS HAPPING IN VWA9.5.2 AND NOW VWA10.1. SO I HAVE TO UNINSTALL Q.T.5 AND THEN REINSTALL ONLY Q.T.5? Quote Link to comment
Guest
Chris, When you install it, select the CUSTOM installation method. YOu are given the choice of Typical (default), Recommended or Custom. Select CUSTOM. THe following dialog will ask you to select the components you wish to install. Click on the Select All button in the upper right hand corner and click on Next. Proceed with the isntallation. You may get a message stating Java cannot be installed. That's fine, just click on OK and complete the install. Restart the computer and the export image function will work. QuickTime 5 and 6 do not have necessary components set for the basic installation requiried for VW to export images. This was a change made by Apple between QT 4 and QT 5. Quote Link to comment
