J Lim
Hello! I'm trying to trace over a PDF site plan to lay out existing pathways and asphalted areas and I want to combine them as one object once I'm done. I'm used to working in GIS format software, where you simply select the objects you which to combine and then merge them. I want the outline to remain and any points inside of the outline to dissolve away. I've overlapped the hardscapes, using both paths and polygons to create the shapes. I cannot figure out how to successfully merge them. Please help. thank you, J Lim Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
try selecting the two hardscapes, right click on one and choose Add Surface Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Lines and Open Polys that have Coincident end points can be joined by using the Compose command. Open polys can be closed by using the check box in the OIP. Overlapping polys can be converted into a single large poly by the Add Surface command. Based on your description, I don't think you have yet converted your tracings to VW Hardscape Objects. First you will need to use some combination of the three commands above to get the outline of each area to be a single poly. Then you can convert that to a Hardscape object. Quote Link to comment
