Christiaan
I'm doing some elevations derived from a model, using the convert copy to polygons command. The problem is that all objects are converted to polygons instead of just the front objects (in the process ballooning my file from 4Mb to 100Mb and making almost impossible to select the polygons). Is there any way to copy only the visible (front) objects of a model and convert them to polygons? [ 09-02-2005, 07:43 AM: Message edited by: Christiaan ] Quote Link to comment
islandmon
The result will always be increased polygons but the least painful is a tight 3d section of only those elevations leaving the bulk of the Model out of the calc. When possible use a Column Line and work from there forward this method produces a kool 3D elevation section. Another easy way with minimal overhead is to render the elevation(s) and convert it/them to Image Prop(s). Quote Link to comment
Kaare Baekgaard
Use convert copy to lines instead. The command will invoke a dialogue, where you can get a hidden line result. Quote Link to comment
