Worksheets > Project name above database header

Bas Vellekoop

Question

Hi all,

I'm working more and more with worksheets so I can skip Excel for my Bill of Materials for my designs.

My question:

Is it possible to create a header (above the database header) which gets the Project Name automatically from the project data in the title block manager?

Is this possible for print data, project date etc. as well?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Bas,

Getting Project Name and Project Date is easy, as these values are the same for all Title Block Borders in the file and are stored in the record format. See row 2 of the worksheet in the attached file.

As for Current Plot Date, this field is in the Sheet Data, which is usually different for each Title Block Border and that is why it cannot be taken the same way as the Project Data. You could use database row, as in the attached file, but I do not think that this is looking very good.

Another way to do this is to add new field in Project Data, that contains the Current Plot Date of the project and that you have to maintain manually. That way, you could extract this field in the worksheet the same way as Project Date and Project Name.
