Andrew Mac
When I import DXF files, it seems that anotations always appear very long. When I zoom in it looks fine. If I want to take a detail of something and copy it to another vectorworks doc. it is almost impossible to get to get to copy all of the text. I have the VW11. Is there something i can do to make this easier. Thanks Quote Link to comment

CipesDesign
What do you mean by "very long"? Is the text all in one line that goes on forever? Is it in one "text block" because if so, you should be able to resize the block with its handles and then make sure the "wrap text" button is checked in the OI palette. If (like a bunch of files I've impoted) the text has each line as it's own block then it's a bummer! I've found no option other than re-writing the text. Are all your DXF files from a single source? Is there something they can do differently to make the text more acceptable? Is there a reason they are using DXF as opposed to DWG? Don't know if any of this will help, but it's worth a shot...
