Fixtures not following light position

Hi,

I am trying to find a work around for making a six-rack of lekos.  I basically just got them spaced properly, and then copied them for each instance.  The issue I am having, is that when I move a group of 6 to a light position, and then change the z value of that position, only one of the fixtures moves with the position to the new z value.  Each of the 6 shows in the OIP that they are on that position, but they don't "follow" it.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Are you absolutely sure that all 6 fixtures are "picking up" the new position? Check in the position field of each fixture. If they haven't all picked up the position then as long as the position is within the parameters of the spotlight preferences (I think by default it is 1'6") then you can "nudge" them up and down and they almost always take the position that way.

Let me know what happens

I did check each fixture, and each one says "Truss 3" in the OIP.  I just tried selecting one group of six, moved them off of the truss, and deleted the position name in the OIP of each fixture.  I then selected them again and attached them to the position.  Each fixture now says "Truss 3" in the OIP, but only one of them follows it when I change the Z value.

Okay, one thing I just noticed.  I have 5 x 50 degree and 1 x 26 degree in each group.  It is only the 26 degree that follow the truss. Both symbols came from the same ETC folder, and the two OIP values are identical (other than actual name and beam angle).  Maybe there is something else to check?

Thanks!

Hmmm.  My position height for the truss starts at 0'0", so it is hard to tell.  I selected them together and moved them (to keep the spacing).  I just tried making them a group, but then the stop existing as fixtures.

If I make them a multi-circuit fixture, then they all follow the truss, but then (I believe) focusing individual fixtures will be an issue.  Also, copying as a multi-circuit group creates another 6 individual fixtures, so I would have to copy each group, then make each one a multi-circuit, then attach it to the truss.  I'm not sure this is the answer.

Thanks!
