2016 very slow to load

MacbookPro 2.6ghz 8gb El Capitan OS 10.11.2

Just upgraded to 2016, and all good except hen I open it it takes an aeon to load.

Anyone else suffer from this, and any cure?

Mine takes much longer than 2015 as well. I'd guess 2015 takes 15-20 seconds, while 2016 often takes a minute or two.

This is an SSD MacBook or standard HDD? The same slowness occurred right after installation when launching it, or this is after adding object libraries , etc?

It's on a SSD Macbook, and was like this from the beginning. I later installed the object libraries - and that made no difference. I just timed it with a stopwatch and it takes 60 seconds.

Not sure if it is the same on a Mac as on my Windows machine... when I first started using VW2016 it was noticeably slower at startup than 2015. However, if VW2016 was closed and then opened again later on the day it was opening much faster to the extent that it was even a little faster than VW2015.

For me it is only the first time start-up of VW2016 that is noticeably slower, subsequent start-ups during the day (provided the computer has not been restarted) are faster.

It still beats AutoCAD start-up by a mile, so you won't hear me complain. :-)

Generally if its not because of anything migrated in, its user account related. You can TRY creating a new admin user account and launching from there, but even if that does reduce the speed, the gains are probably not worth the trouble of bringing everything over from your normal account:
