Select two separate text ojects and merge together to form one text object.

e.g. tidying up DWG drawings which contain rotated text objects which don't align, I'd like the ability to select two or more text objects, merge together and align to left, right, centre etc.

The first script works fine for two text strings only, I have many three string texts to merge - Merge Text works great for multiple strings (at least in 2012 anyway). Thanks for that.

yes i have had to take sometimes 20 lines and combine them

or the reverse

i have a list of notes done by someone in a document file i cut and paste and have a big list that needs to be separated line by line

Not exactly true. The script expects the user to select the end text first, which will be appended to the second selection. This process can be extended by selecting the third string and then the first string; fourth string and then first string; and so on. The script will end when the user clicks on an empty space.

I did not include any comments about this process in the script because I wrote it for personal use and knew how to use it.

The script could be converted to a tool plugin, which by definition it only ends when you switch to another plugin.
