No way to run a horse race

I have mentioned in an earlier post that I had to amend my kudos for SP2 fixing the Quick Keys in the Align / Distribute function as the same Quick Keys were not added back into the Replace Wall function and one must one must mouse over the dialogue box and click three times rather than two key strokes and an enter or return.

This lack of quick commands was apparently (according to the BB) a known Bug & was fixed on the ALIGN DISTRIBUTE function in SP2 but not in the wall tool. Stuff happens. I whined about it on the BB but decided since there was no take-up from Tech that perhaps it was overlooked & decided to submit a Bug report. So why is BUG report not as simple and easy to use as this BB? What I find somewhat frustrating is the auto reply to my much more time consuming Bug Submission was essentially “thanks don’t call us call your distributor”.

Really? I don't want to seem uncharitable but really that's the reply? I'm sorry but that just takes a small irritant and blows it out of proportion and just PO's me. Respectfully this is the kind of thing one might get from Microsoft or Bell not VW. Why not just have a BB for these bugs that is between Tech support & the user who submits the report. Or how about an FAQ about know bugs?

Ouch, apologies. Actually, Tech Support Is supposed to be handling bug submission cases directly now. We recently redirected the Bugsubmit form to Tech (We kept getting issues that weren't bugs in Bugsubmit, which was clogging the path for actual bugs as well as delayed regular tech support from reach users, so we pass the cases through Tech now so that cases can be cleaned up manually first and filed in the right place) but your case should have gone to one of the techs here.

What specifically occurred when you used the form? Which form did you use? (link please) Was it an auto-response right on the page after you submitted it or was the email from Tech@vectorworks.net directly? When did you get the email from us if so? A date and time will let me find it more easily.

Sorry for the barrage of questions, I want to get the bug report-to-patch time down and optimize the path they have to travel, but I wasn't sure from your initial description which component was the bottleneck (human or machine). The path isn't supposed to have any dead drops like that.
