jmartinarch
I cannot get this door in this orientation and the door tag to be right reading. I have re-inserted, flipped, flipped, flipped…. Checked and unchecked the 'adjust flipped text'. What else do I try? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted July 30, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 30, 2015 With the door selected, does "Keep ID Horizontal" in the OIP do anything? or does it just flip it back over in a differently-wrong orientation? Quote Link to comment
jmartinarch
I tried that and it just flips in a different wrong orientation. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted July 30, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 30, 2015 Pop that door into a test file and post it here, I can take a look. You may need to keep the wall its inserted into as well to maintain the issue. Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Check that in the OIP the angle is set to 0 or adjust that when you are selecting the WD-ID tag Quote Link to comment
jmartinarch
Here is a test file. It all works okay in a test file, just like an electrical problem with your car. When I opened the file today in the design layer all is right reading. I thought "wow, perfect" but then I went to a sheet layer and half of the door and window tags are all fouled up. Attached is a screen shot of the same door in design layer and sheet layer. I even changed the look and text in the tag. Alan, what angle are you speaking about? In the OIP I think the only angle setting controls the swing of the door. It is at 90, if I change to 0 it closes the door. In document settings should I check or uncheck "Adjust Flipped Text"? AlanW
Think its different in your program as I use Windoor, Australian & New Zealand. Ignore what I said. Quote Link to comment
domer1322
I also discovered this problem on a few door tags. Interestingly, the ID tag will change if you move the same door to a different wall, or if you remove it from the wall completely. The "Keep ID Horizontal" check box in the OIP does have an affect, but it seems unpredictable. Quote Link to comment
domer1322
Solution: check the "Adjust Flipped Text" in the VW Document preferences. JMartinArch: I should have read your post more carefully ... you had the solution. Quote Link to comment
