Render with Edges - image prop disappears

Hi,

If I render with edges then my image props disappear or move position. When I take off edges the prop is visible in the render and the position remains the same.

This surely would be incorrect?

In a quick test file here I do not get the same results, the image props stay regardless of edges, which I would expect.

Does the same happen in any file or just a specific one? Does the image prop disappear when rendered with edges in a file by itself?

Its actually worse because VW has held onto the edge option even after I take it off and they only way to fix was to go to a previous version and rebuild.

It does work if the objects are moved into a new document? If thats the case, this can make rebuilding easier if its required:

Will do.

The fault is not with the file as it happens with a new file if I then go and set the edges. The fact that the edges have not been set means it will work in the new file.

Can you post a file with an example of the image props you are having trouble with?

By any chance is this drawing located a great distance from the drawing origin? I just worked with someone else having rendering problems in a file with a building 4,000,000 meters from the origin.

Hi Pat,

its not located far away.

Here is a test file. There are two identical renders - with edges and without edges. Render with both and you will see the difference. The difference can be quite random with different files but it is re-creatable every time.

Worse still is that if you keep doing it then after a while VW holds onto the edge option even if you are not using it. At this point you have to recreate the file as per Jim's suggestion.

For me it means at present I can't use a render with edges if I have image props.

The file shows up for me as watermarked educational version. The only rendering options I get are Wireframe and Sketch.

That's odd. It is an edu version but I have full render options. Interesting that the file only gives wireframe and sketch. I will make up a video.
