Often when you select and object in a complicated 3D drawing and go to move it you end up automatically selecting another object. Autocad used to have the space bar I think. Quote Link to comment

It is a problem that a random click can deselect a whole careful selection, or a click to drag can end up deselecting the intended object and picking another one. Maybe try toggling btw Click/Drag mode and Click/Click (VWX prefs) to see if one is better for workflow? I often use Move by Points instead of dragging with select tool. It only moves the selection, and does not deselect or reselect anything, and does not even require actually clicking on the selected (for instance can snap on guide objects) -B Quote Link to comment
