Patrick Fritsch
So i've proceeded with a BIM model prior to getting survey data using walls, slabs, stairs, Storeys etc. I've aligned the user origins in of my survey file and Bldg file, and then imported the the survey file as a VP reference. All is ok, but how can I move and rotate my BIM Bldg to position it properly on the site? I tried grouping everything but that messes everything? Quote Link to comment
AlanW
If you have a viewport to the survey I would move your viewport to the location you want and rotate it to sit over your plan. Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
How about this - move the SITE in the X and Y direction as needed. Move the BUILDING in the Z dimension by typing in the correct elevation for the FIRST FLOOR Story. IN the story dialog, select the option to move all stories. If your site is drawn correctly at the proper Z, then you should be able to take a pretty good guess at what elevation to type into the Story editor. If you guess wrong, just type in another height and the ENTIRE building should respond. Quote Link to comment
