whashisface
Hi All I was wondering if it was possible to display a single object on multiple layers/storeys. For example: - Columns in double height spaces. - Curtain walling I know this is possible on ArchiCad just by ticking a box but is there something similar that I can do in VWs? Thanks in advance. whashisface
Anyone? Or should I move this to the wishlist/requests board? Quote Link to comment
POA
Sorry Whashisface, but I think at the moment its not possible. In terms of columns I have been in the habit of making a separate layer for structure so that I can turn it on or off in which ever plans I like. With curtain walling etc. I haven't found a satisfactory work around I'm afraid. If anyone has any ideas they would be great to hear! Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
It is possible, but it takes planning and work to make it happen. Example: if you draw columns in the ground floor plan, then want to show them in the second story plan, you will need to cut holes in the second story floor to reveal the columns hiding below. Sometimes this works adequately, but sometimes it's better to simply duplicate (in place) the columns and place the dupe in the second story plan. Which might then require so patching (annotations) in the section view, if in fact the columns are truly continuous and not spliced at the floor... Quote Link to comment
