Bruce Kieffer
OSX 10.10. Selecting a tool from the Dims/Notes tool set is misbehaving. Seems like the OS is seriously lagging behind my cursor. Tools in the set are highlighting slow and way behind my pointer. Big lag time. Other tool sets seem fine. Same problem with other workspaces. Quitting and restarting VW doesn't help. Edited October 22, 2014 by Bruce Kieffer Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
I made a movie. Watch how the tool selection highlight lags behind my mouse pointer. Bad Behavior Movie click here Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
Actually, this is happening with all of my tool sets if I hover my pointer over them and move fast enough. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted October 23, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 23, 2014 Seeing this on a few users with 10.10, something similar with the selection box and selection marquees for some as well, no fix so far. It may be graphics hardware related but no official word yet. Quote Link to comment

Bruce Kieffer
Jim, I restarted my computer, and now things are working normal. I did that because I had some strange things happening with my mouse (Logitech) in all programs. I'll send you the System Profile info. I think this is probably a Yosemite bug. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
It's back to misbehaving. Seems worse with a new blank document. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted November 11, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 11, 2014 They are actively tracking it down now. It seems to be exacerbated the harder the graphics card is made to work, getting worse directly in relation to how many pixels are being pushed by the GPU. They're thinking its part of a larger issue and are on it now, no ETAs yet. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
Jim, thanks for the update. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
Oddly, I thought I noticed this issue was fixed, but it's back again. I did update my Logitech mouse driver a week or so after installing El Capitan. Jim, do you have any more info on what causes the mouse lag while moving over tool icons in the palettes? I use the Apple wireless Magic Mouse. Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014 3.5 GHz Intel Core i5 16 GB memory AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2048 MB Quote Link to comment
