J. Wallace
Hi I'm puzzled that active colours in a document don't show up as a resource in the resource browser. It would be handy to be able to access these easily via the rb... maybe I'm not seeing something, I do see gradients but not colours... Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted January 15, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 15, 2014 I think the main reason they aren't resource objects is because they existed in older versions of Vectorworks (MiniCAD) before the Resource system did. There are a few wishlist items currently to bring them (along with other things like patterns and dimension standards) into Resources instead. Quote Link to comment

It would be handy to be able to access these easily via the rb... maybe I'm not seeing something, I do see gradients but not colours... Doesn't the new colour management system in the Attributes Palette provide this (similar) functionality? V-G. Quote Link to comment
bc
About 4 years ago I submitted some of Benjamin Moore colors that I turned into TEXTURES: http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=138348#Post138348 Here you will find how I created them and more. Maybe they will serve your purposes or the process will. With the color as a texture, you can manipulate it or duplicate it right from the Resource Browser. Quote Link to comment
J. Wallace
Thanks bc... that was an excellent post. A great idea for 3d work... now we just need the same idea (colour as a resource) for 2d....thanks Quote Link to comment
