Isolate Classes and Layers

Rok

Question

Is it possible to switch off layers or classes as in Autocad, whereby you simply go to a command and select layer off and you can simply go around your drawing with your cursor and highlight objects and they'll switch the layer they're on to off.

I know you can do this the standard way by going to the layer/class table and switch them on/off there but I was hoping there was an easier and more visual way of doing this.

Or maybe if anyone knows of any scripts out there that will do this.

(I'm currently working of VW 2012 Fundamentals but we've also got VW Architect in the office if that's any better)

Thanks in advance for any help.

K.

The navigation pallet does a similar function.

One of our long time users does very simple work has been turning things on/off via the current class/layer pull down or going into the full organization dialog. The navigation pallet is a quite speedier tool for him now.
